About this Event
Rachel Beausoleil is a multi-lingual Canadian jazz fusion artist, and award-nominated producer, based in Ottawa. She performs and writes songs in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese. She leads a nexus of combos and has performed in Canada, Brazil, Cuba and the UK. She has four jazz albums to her name and one children’s song collection. Rachel is currently working on recording an album of her new francophone jazz originals, with the support of the Ontario Arts Council.
On this occasion, Rachel is joined by Victor Anastacio (guitar), Jasmin Lalande (woodwinds), Normand Glaude (double bass), Alvaro de Minaya (percussion).
The event is co-organized by the Embassy of Brazil, the Embasy of Portugal and the Conuslate General of Angola in Toronto.
