About this Event
This workshop breaks down the decision‑making, positioning, and strategic thinking that help riders race smarter and more confidently - whether you’ve already raced road, crits, or eager to race for the first time this season.
Meet at the UBC Thunderbird Stadium, to be ready to start at 6PM. Please dress appropriately, bring food, drink and your own repair kit. Drop bar road bikes only. All riders must wear a helmet.

- Setting up for strong finishes
Designed for womxn and gender-diverse riders who are looking to learn and sharpen road racing skills.
Please note this is not a 'Learn to Ride', and riders should feel comfortable riding in a group.
About the Coach, Joanie Caron (Altius Velo)
Joanie is an Olympian, former professional cyclist, and founder of Altius Velo, where she coaches athletes at all levels. Known for her approachable, high‑performance coaching style, she excels at making complex tactical concepts feel clear, practical, and actionable.
