The Race Equality in Sport Conference 2026 is a national gathering designed to move Scotland’s sporting system from intention to implementation on race equality.
Across two days, the conference will bring together senior leaders from national governing bodies, public sector partners, academics, coaches, community organisations, and people with lived experience of racial inequality in sport.
Day One focuses on strategic leadership, accountability, and system change, examining what progress has been made, where barriers remain, and how responsibility for race equality can be embedded within governance, leadership, and funding decisions.
Day Two focuses on practice, learning, and delivery, equipping practitioners with practical tools, case studies, and workshops that can be applied directly within clubs, programmes, and organisations.
The conference is rooted in a clear principle:
