Our Raíces (Roots) Gala is a celebration of culture, community, and collective impact. This special evening brings together community leaders, advocates, artists, and supporters to honor the resilience of Latine families across the Portland Metro Area while investing in a stronger future for our community.Guests will enjoy an inspiring evening featuring a special performance by renowned Edna Vazquez, as well as cultural performances by Los Viejitos Alegres de Michoacán and Danza Azteca Ollin Yolliztli that celebrate the richness, tradition, and vibrancy of our communities. The evening will also feature the unveiling of a mural painted by Mario de León, inspired by participants’ stories and reflections surrounding Día de Muertos and the importance of remembrance, healing, and cultural connection.
This special evening is more than a celebration, it is an investment in the wellbeing and future of our community. Funds raised during the gala will directly support the culturally specific services provided by El Programa Hispano Católico, rooted in dignity, belonging, and opportunity for the individuals and families we serve.
