Step into three days of dance, movement, exploration and connection - with Malou Dee & Ida Frost.
This summer, we invite you to join a deep dive into a dance practice where technique meets play, structure meets impulse, and the body finds ways to move and to be moved. Over three days, we’ll open to curiosity, power, softness, sensitivity, and the sensation of moving with yourself and with each other. You’ll develop your movement skills while sharing three days with the same group, creating a sense of connection and continuity. We start each morning together, round off each day together, and close the experience with saunagus and bodywork

This event is open to all dancers and movers - you don't need any experience to join
TIME & DATES
Friday - Sunday Aug 14th - 16th - all days 10:00 - 14:30
PROGRAM & CONTENT
Mornings sessions: We start with a soft movement practice - focusing on expanding physical possibilities.
Short break
Noon Sessions: Guided improvisation, groove & rhythm, partnering, floor techniques, exploration within a certain movement quality or visit set material.
Lunch break
Afternoon sessions: We round off with a space to write, reflect and cool down.
The last day we round off with bodywork and saunagus
ABOUT THE TEACHERS
The Summer Dance Gathering is facilitated by Ida and Malou. Both regular teachers at Rört with classes, workshops, circles and courses.
Ida Frost: is a diverse dancer and physical performer. With a background in gymnastic, she is now working as a professional dancer, performer and acrobat. Her movement interests flow from urban house grooves, to contemporary softness into installation art and acrobatics. No rules, no boxes, just expression, curiosity, humor and the trust of a diverse movement journey in all aspects of life.
Malou Dee: has a background with dance theater, contemporary, urban dance styles, various teacher-trainings and is currently guiding dance full time, choreographing for performances and working on multiple projects related to movement. “Dance is very rooted in my way of meeting life. It moves me to witness and hold space for bodies to unfold. Dance is my love language.”
