About this Event
I’m Christine—writer, host, and longtime trivia player. When the pandemic took away my weekly in-person trivia game, I built one of my own. Quizlandia has been running weekly ever since with a core group of regular players and a rotating theme each week.
Important for New Players
Most regulars do not register through Eventbrite. If the game is listed here, it is happening. Eventbrite exists primarily for discovery and first-time players.
Quizlandia is a live, hosted, moderated trivia night. This is not a drop-in Zoom room or a passive watch-along. To keep the game fun and spam-free, access details are sent manually, and a few basic participation rules apply.
What to Expect
Most nights include five rounds:
- Two written rounds (short answer + some multiple choice)
- One audio round
- One video round
- A final Jeopardy-style round
Each week has a theme, and I write and host the entire game. This week’s theme is: National Day of Service.
You’ll need:
- Zoom access (computer, tablet, or phone)
- Pen and paper
- A sense of curiosity and good sportsmanship
Come with a group or come solo—solo players are happily teamed up unless you prefer to fly solo.
House Rules
- This is not “how fast can I Google” trivia
- Be respectful to the host and other players
- New players are asked to have cameras on briefly for verification
- No recording of the game
These rules exist to protect the experience for everyone.
Who Usually Plays
All are welcome age 18+. Families with younger kids are fine—just give a heads-up so we can adjust language. That said, most active players are 30+, and the audio round often leans older in taste.
