About this Event
Quixotic States is an immersive outdoor dance performance set at golden hour on the iconic Zilker Hillside Theatre. Blending live choreography with the natural elements and a grounding sound bath by Andrea Chiba, this experience invites you to slow down and sink in. Audience members will sit on stage, overlooking the dancers as they move across the landscape like a living mirage—balancing the dreamy with the grounded, the fleeting with the felt. Presented by Dance Waterloo, Quixotic States asks: What happens when we stop chasing and start noticing? Let the sky, the wind, and the dance carry you into a state of beautiful possibility.
This performance is free and open to the public. We appreciate those who are able to make a donation to support keeping this experience accessible to all. Supporters will be invited to Before the Mirage: a Pre-Show Experience for Friends of Dance Waterloo, featuring reflective prompts, a photo activity, and seasonal drinks.
A Q&A with the artists will immediately follow the show.
