Quinton Jones, a powerhouse recording artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, believes “music is a means of expressing oneself, with the only limitations being what you set”, and prides himself on evading definitive genre labels.
Jones is a strong advocate for the success of his friends, family, and supporters, and often avails himself to assist with the successful execution of their endeavors. He has had the opportunity to render musical accompaniment for legendary musicians in the RVA community and beyond, such as Mr. Hannon Lane, Mr. James “Saxsmo” Gates, Dr. Weldon Hill, and Mr. Rodney “The Soul Singer” Stith, just to name a few. With this breadth of musical expertise and camaraderie, it’s no wonder Jones has a knack for assembling groups of like-minded individuals for natural, exalted experiences in fellowship, with music as the vehicle for doing so. Jones has taken the friends he’s gathered to perform on his own sets at the 2nd Street Festival, The Roots Jam, Rodney the Soul Singer’s The BluePrint EP Release , and In Your Ear Studio’s Shockoe Sessions.
