About this Event
In the heart of Notting Hill, Quintessence brings together the harmonious voices of celebrated photographer Juliette Mills, and esteemed sculptor Dominic Welch. With over three decades honing their art, both artists present a collection that embodies the pinnacle of their creative journeys so far. This is the refined essence of their art—Juliette’s evocative, poetic photographs from her “Solace” collection and Dominic’s serene, meditative sculptures. Together, theirworks compliment each other and create a dialogue of quiet and peace, inviting viewers to experience the distilled beauty of nature and form in two distinct disciplines.

Juliette Mills is a documentary and fine art photographer based on Dartmoor. She is known for her candid, poetic images, with a strong documentary feel and pull towards nature, in everything she does. This collection of images is part of a long-term project called Solace which looks at the connection between humans and the reassuring constance of the natural world.

The serene elegance of Welch’s art has gained him an impressive reputation as one the leading sculptors of his generation. Equally impressive is the amount of work he has achieved since he first took up a chisel. Carving stone is a slow business, but for Welch the long hours in the studio have always been a journey of discovery, a complete and fulfilling way of living. The dream images that emerged from his workshop, the results of a long meditative process, now adorn public and private spaces all over the world.
The exhibition will be available to view daily from 10 am - 7 pm.
