Quilted crochet squares workshop - Edinburgh

In this crochet workshop you will learn how to crochet some 2-tone squares and then arrange and join them into beautiful quilt block patterns.

These crochet quilted squares are wonderfully simple to make, but have a stunning effect when all laid together. The patterns and blankets you can make are endless!

In this session you will be taught how to create a one colour square (which is a great starting point for anyone who is a total beginner!), and then have the chance to move onto making a 2-tone square. You will recive a pattern with 6 different suggested layouts, so with your new crochet skills, you can leave with a manageable but beautiful project to work towards!

Crocheting is an incredibly mindful and relaxing craft and, when you become proficient with the stitches, you will find that you can bring your crocheting out anytime you have a spare 5 minutes to relax.

This workshop is open to beginners, with stages and challenges available for those just starting, as well as those who are confident crocheters.

All materials are included in this workshop, but if you'd like to bring your own, you're more than welcome! You'll need: 4/4.5mm hook with atleast 3 colours of DK yarn.

You will cover the ins and outs of crochet patterns and stitches. Throughout this textiles class, you'll soon start to feel the calming and mindful benefits of crochet, build your confidence and maybe even find your new favourite hobby.

This workshop takes place in the Library of Hotel Indigo, on Prices Street, Edinburgh. a coffee, tea or soft drink is included in your ticket price.
