Come write a complete short story draft in one hour! You'll be guided by story dice, gentle structure, and Quill’s signature cozy atmosphere.We designed this workshop for writers of all levels (including people who “don’t write much” but want to try). You’ll leave with a draft you can revise later, plus the kind of momentum that only happens when you write alongside other humans.
How it works
We’ll roll the world together:
Time
Place
Theme
Conflict
Point of View
Then each writer will roll their own character dimension dice (4 dice), so even with the same “world,” every story becomes unique.
We’ll write in two guided sprints, then share in a low-pressure way (final lines or a favorite paragraph), and sharing is always optional.
Quill Magic (because we can’t help ourselves)
Each story includes one small signature detail (we will tell you what it is that evening), so each piece has a common Quill thread running through it.
Publication path (optional)
This workshop is part of a larger vision: building a community of writers and storytellers whose work can eventually be featured in a Quill anthology. If you’d like your piece considered for a future anthology, you’ll have the option to submit after the workshop.
