About this Event
SESSION 1
In times of conflict and disaster, animals often become a forgotten collateral damage. While the human beings affected by these events are rightly given aid, support, and refuge, animals are left to fend for themselves. In this workshop, participants will learn how disaster impacts pet owners and how best to prepare, as well as explore local resources available to pet owners in Maryland. Disaster can happen anywhere, at any time, to anyone. Be prepared by participating in the Quiet Collateral workshop. Learn more at quietcollateral.org.
Come ready to learn and meet new people! Participants will get to build their own emergency backpack, including an animal first aid kit and emergency pet food storage. Feel free to bring your own backpack, or use one of the free supplied backpacks. All participants will get to take home their own copy of the Quiet Collateral Handbook! WHILE SUPPLIES LAST - limited quantities available.
Free snacks will be available in addition to Peabody Height's full menu.
