Unfortunately, it has been brought to our attention that the lovely Cartwright Food Hall,the space we’ve so enjoyed for our queer brunches,will be closing permanently at the end of this month.We are incredibly grateful for the welcoming environment it provided and for the connections we were able to build there. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️⚧️
But as one chapter closes, another begins!
Queer of Greer is excited to announce a new collaboration with @abanicotapas in downtown Greenville so we can continue hosting our monthly queer brunch in a fresh new space.
With a new location comes new themes, and we’re kicking things off with something extra fun:

A few wonderful folks from the Rainbow Chasers group suggested a “Dress-in-Drag” theme and we loved the idea! This brunch is all about fun and creating a safe, affirming space for anyone who wants to try out, experiment with, or debut their drag persona.

✨ No drag or performances are required to attend — but if you’d like to dazzle us, we absolutely welcome it!
This event is open to amateurs and experts alike. There is no competition, no comparison, just community. Bullying, rude commentary, or negativity about anyone’s drag will NOT be tolerated.
That being said, please keep it cute,and keep it classy. This space is open to queer folks AND their families. While we celebrate the beauty, art, and freedom of expression that drag embodies, we ask everyone to be mindful and considerate of others attending and to keep private areas appropriately covered.
So come out in your best drag (or don’t!), enjoy a cocktail or mocktail, and treat yourself to delicious dishes from our generous and inclusive hosts at Abanico’s. You never know what local drag kings or queens might pop in for a surprise visit. 🤫
