About this Event
Holoholo with us on Sunday, May 31st at Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historic Park. Weʻll meet at 9am at the visitor center just off Queen Kaʻahumanu and take a leisurely 0.7-mile stroll along the Ala Mauka Makai, discussing the natural and cultural legacies of this ʻāina. Please RSVP so that I can email you beforehand with any updates and to coordinate potential carpooling!
We will take a break at Honokōhau Bay and then continue to Honokōhau Beach (less than a quarter mile away) to cruise and swim! You are also welcome to meet us at directly at Honokōhau Beach; I aim to get us there a bit after 10am. We can stage a second car at the harbor parking lot to easily shuttle folks back to the visitor center if desired.
This is a relatively easy walk on mostly flat gound in a maintained area, with occasional rocks and vegetation. Walking from Honokōhau Bay to the Beach is more rocky and requires care. There is no shade along the trails, and it does get hot!
Please bring:
- sun protection
- swim gear/ snorkeling gear
- plenty water
- snacks/ light lunch
- comfortable shoes
Stoked to see you there! Any questions, please email me at [email protected] \III/
