Joy Clark
Louisiana born-and-raised singer-songwriter and guitarist Joy Clark is charting her own path with her debut album Tell it to the Wind. As the youngest of five children born into a tight knit, deeply religious family just outside of New Orleans, her release is both a declaration of her independence and a love letter to the traditions that shaped her.
The album marks Clark’s arrival on the national stage as a proud, queer, Black woman blending the social consciousness of folk, the rhythms of Southeast Louisiana, and the soul-centered music she grew up with.
Kristy Lee
Kristy Lee brings fire, soul, and serious heart to every stage she steps on. A powerhouse vocalist and songwriter, she blends Southern grit, gospel roots, and raw storytelling into performances that are equal parts intimate and electrifying. One moment, she can stop a room with her intense lyrics, the next, she has it glowing and lifted through the roof. Bold, passionate, and deeply human, Kristy’s music doesn’t just entertain—it connects, pulls you in, and stays with you long after the last note fades. QueerJoyFest is excited to welcome Kristy Lee to open the night on Saturday, May 30th, as part of our wonderful line-up of artists.
Havens Levitt (Emcee)
Havens is a proud, old, lesbian-feminist, a New Mexican by birth and retired math teacher. She co-founded and frequently coordinated and emceed WIMINFEST. Some of her fondest memories are standing on stage in a sold out KiMo experiencing the transformative community of love and joy the festival created for 20 years. She is delighted to be part of this reimagining and have another opportunity to lean into her signature fun with costumes.
