About this Event
Come along and learn about queering Scottish folklore from local author, Essa Flett! Whose stories get told, and why? How can we reimagine ourselves a different ending? What does a queer happily ever after look like in a genre full of cishet stereotypes and patriarchal messaging?
Learn about the history behind how we tell tales, hear a couple of extracts from Flett’s book and try your hands at writing your own queer folktale.
This will be a relaxed, fun session – no need to have previous experience in writing, just come with something on which to write and a hunger for some tale twisting!
