About this Event

This practice is intended to be a healing space for Queer and Trans people. Please attend only if you are Queer, Trans, or sincerely wonder if you are not straight.

Hi! My name is Sarah. My pronouns are they/them. I've been practicing yoga and meditation regularly since 2019 and completed my year-long Community Practice Leader Training with Tony at Indy Community Yoga in May 2022. I also have over two decades of experience as an educator in public schools. I enjoy practicing with other people in nature.

Come as you are. Wear comfy clothes. No special knowledge, experience, or body type needed. Every Body Welcome!

Yoga 2:00 - 2:45pm: Fun, challenging, and feel-good movement and breathing. A few mats are available for you to borrow, but please bring your own if you have one.

Meditation 2:45 - 3:00pm: Our meditation practice is quiet, continually returning to ease in the body and ease in the breathing. You are welcome to practice your Way as long as you help maintain a quiet practice space for the group. It's ok to sit. It's ok to lay down.

Mindful Dialogue and Active Listening 3:00 - 3:15pm: I facilitate either a paired or full group mindful listening and speaking exercise. Both are great practices that will improve every relationship in your life that involves communication, if you implement the practice.

Sharing and Discussion 3:15 - 3:30pm: Share any questions, reflections, and observations and hear what others have to share. It's ok to just listen, too.

Safety

If you have any symptoms of contagious illness (e.g. coughing, fever, runny nose, body aches, malaise, etc.), please stay home and recover. Thank you for caring for your health and the well-being of people attending practice.
