April 15-22, 2026, we welcome back to the West Coast, the godfather of queer tango, Augusto LaMarshall from Buenos Aires, for a sweet weekend of queer tango everything: workshops, practicas, performances, milongas, socials and all the love and joy we can fit in the room.

We start Friday at 7:30 with WS1.
We do our queer tango intensives a bit differently. We like to offer dancers a chance to get to know each other, build community, while they go deep with one teacher over a few days. Augusto LaMarshall is a founder of queer tango in Buenos Aires, his knowledge and love of queer tango is immense, and he is a truly gifted teacher for both roles. In addition to milongas and workshops, we will have dedicated times and events to practice or chill with something yummy to eat and drink,

Augusto is a wonderful teacher who is known world wide for his ability to answer any tango question in depth, providing clear and simple ways to understand and dance tango. It's really something special. His classes focus on technique, musicality, style, but ALSO, bring him your problems and concerns. He welcomes this! Bring that nagging question you've had since you started tango, that move or concept you wrestle with, the things you feel uncomfortable about in your embrace or posture, your walk, your turns. He has a true gift in his ability to help his students work out the knots of tango, to bring each of us more fully into our dance, connected to ourselves and our partners.
