LGBTQIA+ fitness to get strong, have fun, and co-regulate
About this Event

Brinny Does Queer Strength Club is officially in Manchester! This is an inclusive, affirming fitness space designed for our community. Whether you’re a gym regular or you're a complete beginner, this is your space to connect and feel good - without the "gym bro" energy or diet-culture pressure. There's none of that here!

Queer Strength Club is different

We focus on regulation over reps. My goal is to help you build sustainable strength and mobility in a way that feels joyful rather than like a chore. We’re here to reclaim the gym as a place where we belong, building confidence in our bodies while finding connection with each other.

Class Structure

I use the same warm-up and cool-down every single week to create a sense of predictability and comfort for your nervous system.

  • 5-10 min: Welcome & Grounding Warm-up.
  • 30 min: Main Strength Circuit (using body weight and equipment).
  • 5-10 min: Cool-down & Wrap-up.

What to expect in the session:

  • Each station is clearly numbered and labelled.
  • All movements are demonstrated with multiple adaptations given.
  • Full autonomy: Rest and adapt whenever you need, for as long as you need.
  • Integrated mindfulness to help with body awareness and energy management.
  • High energy and music that's uplifting, motivating and silly.

Venue & Accessibility

Location: Condition Gym (Basement of Bonded Warehouse Department).

  • Access: The gym is accessible via a large lift or stairs. A video showing exactly how to find us will be sent to you after booking!
  • Facilities: Gender-neutral accessible toilets and changing areas are available on-site.
  • Environment: We keep the lights as low as possible, but please note there are some multi coloured lighting strips and there will be loud music.
  • Sensory Support: You are very welcome to bring earplugs, fidget toys, or tinted eyewear. And you can step out of class whenever you need to, safely.

Essential Info
  • Health Form: All attendees must complete this form before class.
  • Age: 17+
  • What to wear: Anything you feel comfortable moving in and supportive shoes.
  • What to bring: A water bottle and anything you need for your comfort.
  • Refunds: Cancellations must be made 48 hours before class for a full refund. After this, tickets are non-refundable but can be "paid forward" to a friend.

About Your Coach: Brinny (They/Them)

As a neurodivergent and non-binary coach, I pride myself on creating judgment-free, accessible spaces. I’m here to help you find joy in movement and build a relationship with exercise that actually works for your brain and body.

Questions or specific access needs? Email me at [email protected] at least one week before class.
