As Pride season approaches, Queer Quarterly turns to nightlife—the pulse of queer cultural production, political expression, and chosen family. Nightlife has long served as both refuge and resistance for Black and queer communities. From underground balls to dance floors, these spaces have cultivated joy, strategy, art, and organizing in the face of erasure and ongoing attacks on our communities.
Join 1Hood Media for a panel featuring local DJs, promoters, and nightlife curators and historians as we explore the politics of queer spaces, harm reduction, and the role of nightlife in sustaining Black and queer communities.
