About this Event
Queer Learn-To-Play Pickleball Sponsored by Limestone Clinic
Curious about pickleball? Come learn in a welcoming, low-pressure space created for 2SLGBTQIA+ community members.
This beginner-friendly event is all about fun, connection, and trying something new. Whether you’ve never picked up a paddle before or just want a comfortable way to get started, you’re invited.
You’ll be guided by professional pickleball coaches who will walk you through the basics, including:
- how the game works
- simple rules and scoring
- how to hold and use your paddle
- beginner tips to help you begin to feel confident on the court
Expect a supportive atmosphere, lots of encouragement, and a chance to meet new people while moving your body and having fun.
Thanks to Selkirk, sample paddles will be available for attendees to try during the event if they’d like. So yes, you can come paddle-curious without immediately becoming a person who owns “gear.” We love growth, but we’re not monsters.
This is a free community learn-to-play event, with a $5 RSVP deposit required to hold your spot. We ask for this because space is limited and we want to reduce no-shows.
Your $5 deposit helps cover paddle rental.
If you bring your own paddle and attend the event, you’ll receive a $5 Fairgrounds gift card after the event to use toward future play. A limited number of paddles may be available for free use from coaches.
