About this Event
Queer Pickleball Night Sponsored by Limestone Clinic Kingston Counselling & Psychotherapy
A fun, friendly night of pickleball for LGBTQIA2S+ folks and allies.
This is not a lesson night — it’s free play, which means spots go to the first people who register and show up ready to play. If you know the basics and want a welcoming place to get on the court, this is for you.
The evening is divided into two one-hour sessions, and you’re welcome to register for one hour or both, depending on your stamina, schedule, and level of pickleball enthusiasm. Not everyone has a two-hour cardio pickleball agenda, and that is deeply okay.
Expect a low-pressure, community-minded atmosphere where you can play, laugh, move your body, and maybe make a few new pals along the way.
A few things to know:
- Free to attend
- Register for one hour or both
- BYO paddle, or rent one at the front desk
- First come, first registered
- Limited spots available
- Queer-friendly and inclusive vibe
- No lessons this time — just play
No pressure, no nonsense, just pickleball and good people.
You’re welcome to register for one 1-hr session, or both — because not everyone is operating on a two-hour cardio pickleball agenda, and we respect that.
Agenda
🕑: 05:45 PM - 06:00 PM
Gay Agenda - Part 1 - Register & Warm Up
Host: Andi and/or Kris
Info: Come in, check in with a host, get settled, grab a drink, rent or unpack your paddle, warm up/stretch, hit the loo, and get ready to play.
🕑: 06:00 PM - 08:00 PM
Gay Agenda - Part 2 - Have Fun & Connect
Host: Andi and/or Kris
Info: **Rotating doubles play**
This event will typically run as doubles play with round-robin style rotations and random pairings. Games will switch approximately every 10 minutes, giving people a chance to play with different partners and meet more of the group.
This is intentional — the rotating format helps keep the event social, inclusive, and community-oriented, especially for people coming on their own and looking to establish new connections in the community.
If you strongly prefer to play with a particular partner, you may be able to sort that out informally depending on how the evening unfolds, but that won’t be the default setup.
Secondary agenda: pickleball.
Primary agenda: the gay one ;)
