The Queer Futures Festival is a day event of live music, art, workshops and more. The day has been programmed and organised by artist and music duo Unlearn and Publish (aka Bex Harvey and Sarah Li) co-produced with the youth hubs at TCR hub and Dawdon Youth and Community Centre. As part of the festival we will also be exhibiting the Room to Roam project which is a colourful 'gay shed'. A touring installation co-produced by the same youth hubs and artist leads which will be exhibited as part of the Beamish permanent collection. The gay shed is an interactive installation that represents LGBTQIA+ and ally youth culture within in a contemporary context.
