TCR Hub are delighted to once again be a part of the Lumiere Festival this year, working in partnership with Artichoke to offer people here in Teesdale the chance to take part. We have two workshops scheduled here at the Hub on Tuesday 14th October 2025. The morning session is for those who attend our Creative Coffee morning who enjoy making, for TCR Volunteers and also other adults who might like to join in. The evening session runs from 6 - 8pm and is for everyone aged 10 years plus who enjoys making and would like to have your creation a part of the Festival of Light UK's Lumiere.
Join artists on Tuesday 14th October to create your own lantern to be a part of it by booking your places and we will look forward to welcoming you to TCR Hub. We will also be arranging trips up the Lumiere to take people to see what had been made. The Festival takes place in Durham city and throughout the county from 13th to 15th November 2025.
We’re inviting hundreds of people from across County Durham to take part in an unforgettable community experience. Join us in crafting hundreds of unique lanterns that will illuminate Durham and Shildon during Lumiere 2025.
Each lantern you make is more than just light, it’s a message you can inscribe with a whisper of hope, a memory to release, a thought you want the world to hear.
These glowing creations are inspired by Solace, a powerful lantern installation which will be hung in the iconic Durham Cathedral Cloisters during Lumiere.
