Queer Easels Vol 7
Get your queer art fix at Queer Easels Vol 7! The show will take place on Sat May 18, 2024 in the front bar of The Gaythering 1409 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 33139. The event is free to attend but if you RSVP it helps us prepare for the evening and stay connected.
Three local queer artists will be present and representing their art for you to enjoy and bring home your next favorite piece and support a starving artist. Bring a friend, grab a drink, and chat up the artists about their work - all artwork is for sale and most artist accept venmo, cash app, or cold HARD cash.
This is our Seventh edition of Queer Easels thanks to our amazing hosts at the Gaythering! Volume 8 will be on June 22nd. Each volume of Queer Easels will feature new art not previously featured at our monthly shows.(some artists may repeat but get to see their new work!)
About Vol. 7 artists:
Rafael Farello is back! Rafael, a Columbian artist based in Miami, specializes in oil and acrylic painting, with a strong emphasis on the themes of sensuality, sexuality, and fetishism. His unique artist approach involves skillfully mixing contemporary elements with classical art, resulting in a compelling fusion that combines satire with an exploration of human sexuality.

Hi Guys! I’m a cuban artist living in Miami
I like to explore the human eroticism and break taboos and stereotypes. There is no better way to assert ideas than through art. Mermaids, minotaurs, fairies, snakes, butterflies; recurring elements in my work that serve to accentuate the contrast between masculine strength and the fragility and delicacy that nature and mythology offer us.

Patrick is a mixed media based artist based in Miami Beach Florida and is the organizer of the Queer Easels Show! Most of my work is based on photos I or my friends/hubby have taken. I print the photos on canvas or archival cotton rag (typically Hahnemuhle), then add layers of acrylic paint and/or encaustic wax. I paint what I like – fish and men.
