Knit & Crochet with Community: Crafting Queer Connections 🧶Ready to get cozy and get creative? Maker + Stitch and Mountain Pride have teamed up to bring you a relaxing morning of “craftivism” and connection! Whether you’ve been dreaming of knitting your first scarf or want to master the art of crochet, this free, private session is the perfect place to unwind and create.
Fiber arts are more than just a hobby—they are a powerful way to practice mindfulness, lower stress, and build community. There is a special kind of magic in working with your hands, and you’ll leave this session with the satisfaction of a finished project and a little more inner peace.
What to Expect✨
Our session is hosted by Maker + Stitch and led by community member Chris, alongside a team of queer-identifying instructors bringing over 40 years of combined experience to the table.
All Skill Levels Welcome: Whether you’re a total beginner or a seasoned fiber craftivist, we’ve got a spot for you.
Everything Provided: High-quality yarn is generously provided by Maker + Stitch, and needles/hooks are supplied by Mountain Pride. Just bring your enthusiasm!
An Inclusive Space: Our vibrant community of makers spans ages 15 to 90 and celebrates every identity. This is an affirming space for everyone to gather, chat, and stitch.
Come embrace “sweater weather,” meet new friends, and learn a beautiful, functional new skill in a supportive environment. Let’s get crafting!
