Want to get curious with like minds and read LGBTQ+ literature? Come to Queer Book Club on Wednesday, December 17. Co-facilitators Heather & Jessa will lead the group discussion from 7:30-9:00pm. The next read is The Lilac People by Milo Todd, which Heather considers required reading for our current political moment. It's a moving and deeply humane story about a trans man who must relinquish the freedoms of prewar Berlin to survive first the Nazis, then the Allies, all while protecting the ones he loves. Brimming with hope, resilience, and the enduring power of community, The Lilac People is inspired by real events and recovers an unknown moment of World War II and trans history. If you plan to attend, there are two requirements: 1) Buy the book at Book Love Bar (mention this book club and get 10% off) in person or online @booklovebar.com under the events tab .
2) RSVP in advance so we can prepare space and snacks for you: https://booklovebar.com/events/3590720251217
