Join Link, Convex and Queer Britain for an evening of history, creativity, celebration, drinks and canapes! Queer Britain is the charity that opened the UK’s first bricks and mortar national LGBTQ+ museum on May 4th 2022. It is an essential place for all regardless of sexuality or gender identity, to find out about the culture they have been born into, have chosen or seek to understand.
During the course of the evening you will hear from the Museums Curator, Jennifer Shearman who has expertise in queer history and theory. We will also be running a creative workshop with Fine Artist, Nigel Grimmer and there will be an opportunity to view the We Are Queer Britain! Exhibition, Queer Britain's inaugural exhibition that celebrates Queer life, focussing on the period since the first Pride March in London in 1972.
