Queer trans drawing Club is on!These sessions are 3 hours, so that we have time to relax, and have a good break to chat and eat snacks. We will have a model for each session, and I'll be there from 1pm setting up. Feel free to get there early and get yourself a good spot and set up.
We're in the painting studio at Hutt Art Society, 9/11 Myrtle St, Lower Hutt.
These sessions are different to Queer trans drawing class in that I won't be teaching the whole class. I wanna draw together! So I will be drawing too. I'll start us off with some great warm ups, and then we'll have timed poses, where you can use the techniques I've shared, or your own ones, to keep drawing. We will take breaks where we walk around and look at each other's drawings - always a great way to get new inspiration for techniques!
There are easels, tables, chairs and the horse things you can straddle and put a drawing board on. It's super warm, and private - all windows have blinds.
The session is $35 if you’re a waged person $20 unwaged / low waged – please pay in advance to reserve your spot and so I can get organised – nau mai haere mai, let me know if you wanna come!
Some materials provided, but to keep costs down I’m not providing all the materials so please do bring your own as well. All materials welcome, it's up to you! I recommend bringing different kinds of paper too - shopping bags, newspaper, cardboard... different papers create interesting drawings.
