In October, Ontario MPPs will be returning to Queens Park. So our community coalition of food banks, tenant unions, housing advocates, disability rights activists, and legal clinics are coming together for a BIG rally to welcome MPPs back to work! Together, we are urging the Provincial Government to make their first priority:1 - Raising the rates of ODSP and OW
2 - Freezing the rent
This is going down on Thursday October 23rd. The main rally is from 11am-2pm at Queen's Park (111 Wellesley St W, Toronto). FREE LUNCH is being organized by the North York Harvest Food Bank and will be available for the first 500 people!

On the same day, two solidarity actions are being organized by ACORN. More info below:
1- Rally at Housing Minister Rob Flack's constituency office in St-Thomas - meet at 12PM at the Food Basics at 780 Talbot St. If you're travelling from London or Waterloo Region contact [email protected] or [email protected] for carpooling details.
2- Rally at the Ottawa regional office for the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services - meet at 11AM outside the office at 347 Preston St.
