About this Event
A two hour walking tour about some of the women who lived, worked and studied around the Queens Quarter in Belfast.
Did you know that women weren't admitted to Queens University (or Queens College as it was then) until 1882, thirty three years after it opened?
You'll hear about the first woman in Ireland to get a Law Degree and the woman who won so many prizes at the Belfast School of Art that they had to change the competition rules.
You'll also hear about a man who contributed so much to the suffrage campaign in Belfast that he gets an honorary mention on a walking tour about women!
The tour takes about two hours and is about 4000 steps
Your Guide Emma Casey is a qualified Tour Guide and a Belfast Native
