About this Event
If you are interested in nature, art, mindfulness, or developing a deeper connection to the natural world around you, then the Lyonia Nature Journaling Club is for you!
Join the Lyonia Nature Journaling Club on Saturday, April 18th, for an introduction to nature journaling and short hike to the outdoor classroom to observe the spring season at Lyonia. In this session we will be sharing creative methods of journaling, tips to enhance your observational skills, and new exercises to build curiosity and awareness. Time will be provided for participants to share recent nature experiences, journal entries, or personal techniques with the group!
The Lyonia Nature Journaling Club meets quarterly to explore the changing seasons at the Lyonia Preserve and to keep your nature journaling practice going throughout the year. This opportunity is open to all ages and abilities. Adult supervision is required for children. Bring your own nature journaling supplies (notebook, paper, pencils, and whatever art supplies inspire you) or use some of ours! The classroom portion will be followed by a short hike in the preserve so come prepared for the weather. Sunscreen, bug spray, hats, and water are recommended.
