Cette activité réunit des musées majeurs à l’international pour explorer les multiples façons dont le cinéma dialogue aujourd’hui avec l’institution muséale. À la croisée de l’exposition, de la création et de la programmation, les intervenant·e·s partageront leurs expériences et leurs visions du film comme médium vivant au sein du musée. La discussion abordera l’intégration du film et de la vidéo dans les espaces d’exposition, la production et la commande de films d’artistes, ainsi que les enjeux liés à la conservation, à la diffusion et à la programmation des œuvres audiovisuelles. Un échange essentiel pour comprendre comment faire voyager leurs films au musée, et comment le cinéma s’invente, se montre et se pense autrement au cœur des musées.En présence d’invité·e·s local·e·s et international·e·s : Sonia Prior Gomez (Production audiovisuelle et gestion numérique au Musée du Prado, Madrid), Chema González Martínez (Responsable des activités culturelles au Musée Reina Sofía, Madrid), Pascale Raynaud (Responsable de la programmation cinéma au Musée du Louvre, Paris), Katherine Irving (Responsable principale de la programmation cinéma au Musée des Beaux Arts, Boston), Pauline Soh (Responsable principale des programmes curatoriaux de la Galerie nationale de Singapour) et Philippe U. del Drago (Directeur général et artistique du FIFA, Montréal).

This activity brings together major international museums to explore the many ways cinema engages with museum institutions today. At the intersection of exhibition, creation, and programming, speakers will share their experiences and perspectives on film as a living medium within museums. The discussion will cover the integration of film and video in exhibition spaces, the production and commissioning of artist films, as well as issues related to the preservation, distribution, and programming of audiovisual works. An essential exchange to understand how to bring films into museums and how cinema can be imagined, presented, and thought of differently at the heart of these institutions.
