About this Event
Marcus Munafò is Professor of Biological Psychology and MRC Investigator at the University of Bristol, where he is also Associate Pro Vice Chancellor for Research Culture. He co-founded the UK Reproducibility Network in 2019, and is currently chair of the Supervisory Board. He has a long standing interest in the factors that impact on research quality.

Abstract
There are ongoing discussions about how we can improve the quality of academic research, including through the use of open research practices. I will discuss how we can learn from other sectors – from manufacturing to the pharmaceutical industry – and incorporate concepts and approaches derived from these sectors that build on open research foundations.
