Join us for a relaxing and restorative morning of Qigong and the nature connection practice of Forest Bathing (shinrin-yoku). You will be guided to gently move and awaken your body and senses, connecting to the vibrant energy of Spring in the beautiful Nature Reserve at Mere Sands. Nicky from Wuji Wellbeing will lead you through Qigong; a mindful movement practice among the trees.
Claire from Journeys in Nature will then guide you through the woods, offering suggestions of ways to more deeply connect to the nature around you through your senses. This is based on the practice of Forest Bathing which encourages you to slow down, quieten the mind and relax through immersing yourself in nature (no swimming involved!)
Who is this suitable for?
No experience is necessary, everyone aged 18+ is welcome. No dogs, unless they are an assistance dog. If you have any mobility or accessibility needs please contact us before booking to discuss suitability as we do go off the main paths and the ground can be uneven.
Unfortunately, the Qigong element is not suitable if you are currently undergoing treatment for cancer, or if you are, or could be pregnant.
Please only attend if you feel well and inform your instructors of any relevant health conditions they should be aware of. If you are unsure about participating safely then please seek medical advice before joining.
