Please join us for our quarterly daylong Qigong & Mindful Movement retreat!Each quarter at PIMC we present a Qigong workshop to develop mindfulness of the body within all four of the classical positions of the body: standing or walking, seated or lying down. We practice learning where to look for true refuge, embodied refuge, letting go of our attachments to conditioned happiness and illusory worldly success. We learn to move with deep understanding of suffering, of dissatisfaction as experienced in the body. We discover how to embody the Path to Peace, the Path to Freedom.
The format opens us to mindful movement routines, time to sit and reflect, time speak mindfully about our experiences. Each movement is an opportunity to establish our grounding in the body as we investigate the felt sense of clinging; we learn to open the heart to the embodied release in the body. And ultimately, we learn to embody the Eightfold Path. Practicing together we break down the apparent boundaries that separate us and strengthen the ties that bind us together in Sangha.
