About this Event
Come and discover qigong and mindful walking in the beautiful nature reserve of Gillespie Park. Ariyananda will lead you through some calming and grounding qigong sequences and lead a slow and mindful walk around the park. After the walk, you’ll be invited to help take part in some creative activities, followed by a meditative tea ceremony. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, refreshed and more in tune with nature.
Everybody is welcome regardless of experience or mobility. You do not need to have attended any qigong classes before. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing and suitable shoes for walking on a potentially muddy path.
This event is part of Mental Health Awareness Month. The theme this year is ‘movement’.
Ariyananda has been practising mindfulness for 14 years and she teaches mindfulness, including mindful Qigong, in the UK and China. She holds a Master by Research in mindfulness and pain experience, and has trained with Bangor University and in monastic settings. She meets the UK Good Practice Guidelines for Mindfulness-Based Teachers.
