Step out of the noise and into the body.
This is a four-day retreat of gentle Qi-Gong, forest stillness, and elemental reconnection, held on the quiet, atmospheric grounds of the Origins Centre in the South West.
Across four days, we move slowly. We breathe, soften, and return to rhythm. Practice unfolds through flowing Qi-Gong, time in nature, shared meals, firelight, and spacious evenings beneath the trees.
Each retreat is held in a different season, offering its own texture and quality, yet the heart of the experience remains the same – simplicity, presence, and grounded flow.
These retreats are intentionally small and tend to fill steadily.

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐐𝐢-𝐆𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 (𝐒𝐡𝐢-𝐁𝐚-𝐒𝐡𝐢)
An accessible introduction to the Shi-Ba-Shi system, learning the 18 foundational movements of Qi-Gong. The practice is slow, flowing, and grounding, with an emphasis on ease rather than effort.
This retreat is well suited for beginners and those wishing to enter Qi-Gong through felt experience rather than intellectual complexity. The focus is on rhythm, breath, alignment, and embodied presence.
𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 🌳
Spacious time to walk, rest, and reconnect with the land, including a gentle group bushwalk on the Bibbulmun Track, as well as unstructured time to simply be.

Optional evening sessions beneath the trees, offering a grounding and vibrational experience guided by breath, sound, and place.

A nourishing way to unwind in the evenings, releasing tension and settling the body beneath the stars. Note - not available on November retreat.

Light guidance oriented toward softening habitual tension, returning awareness into the body, and allowing flow to re-emerge naturally.

Origins is a 17-acre sanctuary nestled in the hills of the South West, with bush trails, communal spaces, composting toilets, shared kitchen facilities, and a wood-heated rotunda for practice.
Accommodation is available in private or twin-share rooms.
Approximate driving time from Perth is 2 hours 40 minutes.

Meals are potluck-style, with participants bringing a dish or two to share across the retreat.
Those who prefer to self-cater are welcome to do so. The kitchen is well equipped for all kinds of preparation.
There is a strong emphasis on warmth, nourishment, and shared table culture.

Accommodation (3 nights): $180
Teachings are offered via Dana (generosity-based). Suggested offering: $200, given at the end of the retreat.

Kip has been the caretaker of the Origins Centre since 2020 and is the founder of Natural Perspectives, offering bushwalking journeys rooted in spirit, simplicity, and connection to land.
He shares Qi-Gong as a living, practical discipline – one that gently returns people to the body, the Earth, and a sense of inner ease.
Kip trains with the Forest Rock Qi-Gong global community, deepening his relationship with Qi-Gong as a pathway into healing, harmony, and flow.
