QENDO Canberra QENDOMarch ForumCommunity-led discussions to inform ACT Women’s Health Policy
📅 Date: Saturday 21 March 2026
📍 Venue: Ann Harding Conference Centre 24 University Dr S, Bruce ACT 2617
⏰ Time: 9am – 4pm (Lunch included)
QENDO Canberra invites people with lived experience, healthcare providers, advocates, and decision-makers to take part in a full-day QENDOMarch Discussion Forum focused on improving endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain care in the ACT.
Informed by QENDO’s Community Needs Survey and ongoing advocacy work, this forum will use facilitated discussions to identify practical, local solutions to the most pressing issues facing our community.
Importantly, political representatives and policy stakeholders will be present to hear real-time feedback, engage directly with the community, and contribute to solution-focused discussions.
The session includes structured, facilitated discussions, lunch and refreshment breaks, participant worksheets and discussion materials, a QENDO shop discount voucher for facilitators, and the opportunity to directly influence policy and advocacy priorities in the ACT.
The outcomes of this forum will directly inform QENDO ACT’s submission to the ACT Parliamentary Inquiry into endometriosis and other pelvic pain conditions.
The day will focus on three priority areas identified by the community:
Priority 1: Cost – Reducing the Cost of Living with Endometriosis
- Biggest cost barriers to care
- Which costs should be prioritised for reduction (e.g. GP visits, specialist care, allied health)
- What has worked so far (PBS listings, bulk billing initiatives, ACT Government strategies)
Priority 2: Multidisciplinary Care – Access to Integrated, Collaborative Care
- Services people currently access and find helpful
- Gaps in care and barriers to access
- Workforce retention in the ACT
- Which allied health services are most urgently needed
Priority 3: Funding – Supporting Education, Awareness & Workforce Upskilling
- Existing programs people use and value
- Where education and awareness are most needed (schools, workplaces, hospitals)
- Funding priorities to improve care and outcomes in the ACT
Who Should Attend
- People with lived experience of endometriosis or persistent pelvic pain
- Healthcare providers (GPs, specialists, allied health professionals)
- Researchers, advocates, and community leaders
- Government representatives and policy decision-makers
- Anyone interested in improving women’s health care in the ACT
