Learn to create a beautiful pysanka (wax batik on eggshell). Ukrainian-style Easter eggs, (pl. pysanky) are eggshells that are decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a batik process using layers of wax and dye to “write” on eggshells. Crystal Potthoff will guide you through the entire process, explaining the technique and symbolism on the egg. All materials provided. No experience needed.
Students must be 12 or older. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by an adult.
$30 for members, $40 for non-members.
