Come and have a fun day learning the art of pyrography with tutor Sharon in the creative space at the Craft Barn.The best bit is you don't have to be able to draw!
Sharon of Maybug Studio is also known to Lechlade Craft Barn regulars for her popular stained glass workshops. She is also an accomplished Pyrogapher and by popular demand is now passing this skill on.
Using a changeable wire tip pyrography pen which gives a finer, more detailed picture compared to the solid tip style pen.
Each class will have a maximum of 6 participants which will give plenty of time for individual attention.
You will learn different techniques with different tips to give different effects on your final piece. You will learn which woods to use (and more importantly which not to use), preparation of the wood and finishing once your design is completed.
A selection of designs will be available on the day for inspiration.
All materials and use of equipment is included on the day; however, if you will like an upgraded piece of wood to use, these are available at an extra cost on the day.
Cost £65 to include all materials, tea & coffee. Please bring lunch.

NOTE: The Craft Barn is accessed via external stone steps with handrails and therefore may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
