Keynote Speaker is Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande: Dr. Tomikia P. LeGrande became the ninth president of Prairie View A&M University on June 1, 2023. With a distinguished career in higher education marked by successive leadership roles, she has focused on advancing equity, accessibility, and affordability. Dr. LeGrande's expertise spans strategic planning, enrollment management, student success, and creating supportive cultures in academic institutions. A two-time HBCU graduate with a doctorate in higher education leadership, she is a nationally recognized thought leader on educational equity and student success. Dr. LeGrande has testified before the U.S. House of Representatives and received the Governor's "Champion for Change Award" for the Commonwealth of Virginia in 2021. Her academic background includes degrees in chemistry from Savannah State University and North Carolina A&T State University, and an Ed.D. from Texas Tech University.
