Surprise! Time to bust out your Pug Holiday Sweaters! We will be marching in the Santa parade this year!
We would LOVE some ideas on a Pierce County Pugs sign to carry?
Help us round up as many pugs (and their people) to walk with us as possible! It is an extremely fun event. This is a lighted parade, so please be sure you have some sort of lights/glow items. Battery powered Christmas lights would work great! Decorate your pug, or their wagon, or yourself! Even better - all of the above, lol!

PIERCE COUNTY PUGS is in Group B – middle of the parade. We need to arrive in our assigned staging area by 4:10 pm. ?⭐
STAGING AREAS ?✨
When you arrive, Kiwanis volunteers in orange vests will help you find your exact staging area. If you are NOT assigned to stage on Meridian, you must arrive in your staging area without using Meridian. Arrive from the south, east, or west—not from the north. ❄️➡️
West Main Avenue Staging: between Meridian and 5th Street SW contains most parade units where there is a combination of vehicles and pedestrians. Participants are encouraged to gather at a location away from the parade route and then arrive as a group. Many gather near Puyallup High or the Fairgrounds. ??♂️?
First unit crosses the starting line at 5:00 PM. ⏰
Last parade unit should cross by 6:00 PM.
It takes about 20 minutes for a unit to travel the full route. ?✨

LIGHTS, LIGHTS, and MORE LIGHTS! Please be sure all walking participants are well lit. ✨?
RESTROOMS ?
Porta-potties will be available throughout the staging areas and along the parade route. Additional restrooms can be found at Pioneer Park and the Pavilion. ?

CANDY RULE ??
Candy cannot be thrown. For everyone’s safety, please hand out candy instead of tossing it. ?✨
PARKING ?️
The Sounder Parking Garage (131 W. Main Ave) is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional parking is available on downtown streets.
Parents, visitors, grandparents, and spectators should park outside the staging areas. ?

Please arrive at your designated staging time. Roads will be blocked, and volunteers in orange vests will guide you into place. ?✨
