We are celebrating the 10th Annual International Day of the Girl Child by watching the Documentary Film- Push Out: Criminalization of Black Girls in Schools by Monique Morris, with a short-facilitated Q & A to follow.

Why You Should Attend:
Nearly 1 in 4 girls aged 15–19 globally are not in education, employment, or training, compared to 1 in 10 boys
Girls around the world continue to face unprecedented challenges to their education, their physical and mental wellness, and the protections needed for a life without violence
Girls in San Antonio and Bexar County face similar challenges. This programming can help bring awareness and start the dialogue on what strategies can be adopted and implemented to change the trajectory of girls of color in our community.
Learn and share strategies to slow down and reduce the number of girls in the San Antonio and surrounding area being "pushed" into the criminal justice system
Because you CARE about our children, the community, and the sustainability of both
