St. Petersburg Fire Rescue invites the community to attend this ceremonial event commemorating the addition of a new Hazardous Materials Response Truck to the department’s fleet. The new apparatus enhances responder safety and strengthens the department’s ability to manage complex and hazardous incidents throughout St. Petersburg and Pinellas County.
The push-in and wash-down ceremony dates back to the era of horse-drawn apparatus and marks the official placement of the truck into active service.
The ceremony will include remarks from department leadership, an overview of the new HazMat response truck, and the traditional push-in and wash-down. The new apparatus will be housed at the Master Fire Station and will serve Pinellas County.
Light refreshments will be provided.
