Plot Summary
Seussical tells the story of Jojo, a young child, who with the help of the Cat in the Hat, navigates a world full of Dr. Seuss’ stories and characters. Along the way we meet Horton (a soft-spoken elephant who discovers Whoville on a speck of dust) Gertrude McFuzz (Horton’s shy but loving neighbor), the Sour Kangaroo, (a strong-willed mother firm in her beliefs), and many more inhabitants of the Jungle of Nool. With Jojo, Horton attempts to save the Who’s, embarking on a long journey filled with discovery, disappointment, and triumph.
What makes this production unique and worth seeing?
Seussical is a story about a young child named Jojo, who often creates huge worlds, unique characters, and even music numbers to help escape feelings of loneliness. While Seussical often sticks closely to Dr. Seuss' classic style, our production is going to be seen through Jojo's creative eyes. This means everyone will experience Seussical in a new way. We hope this focus on Jojo's story will let audiences of all ages feel the joy that comes with creativity. No matter your age, we want everyone to take away that with a little imagination, anything is possible.
