About this Event
Celebrate the Jewish mystical holiday of Purim with a transcedental Breathwork Journey, Havdalah blessings, and delicious meal following the Breathwork!
All who are open and curious are welcome, you do not need to be Jewish to attend.
Purim is an opportunity to remember and celebrate how God works through us everyday in seemingly invisible ways. Queen Esther is the heroine in the tale. Mystics recount how her bravery, beauty, and speaking up symbolized divine forces at play to help the Jews at a turning point in history that could have led to destruction. Where can we embody lessons in this tale of bravery, speaking up, and going against the norm to build a better life for ourselves, people, and future generations?
A Breathwork Journey helps us remember through our bodies and spirit, return to our roots, and tap into the innate heroic qualities inside all of us. Our ceremonial experience integrates breathwork, evocative music, somatic release, and individualized energy healing, plus Havdalah blessings and meal.
This special edition will incorporate these mystical elements of Purim, and attendees are encouraged to dress up if they want!
We begin with a short talk to set the space, provide education on the practice, and share intentions. We then go into a 50-minute breathing journey alongside powerful music. Participants will be guided in a rhythmic, circular breath that helps us drop into a shifted state of consciousness. This breath has ancestral and shamanic roots, and that connection is felt throughout the space. As a trained Somatic Therapist and Reiki Healer, Mallory holds the space and facilitates energy work and light touch when called to help participants go deeper.
Our practice invites your body to let go of things it's been carrying — including stress, stuck emotions, stored trauma, limiting beliefs, conflicts with work or family, physical health symptoms, digestive blocks, inflammation, or pain. You can experience a state that feels "psychedelic" as well as release, unblocking, and self-discovery. We will connect why this is important to the mystical roots of Judaism.
After the Breathwork, Mallory will help participants integrate what came up, connect the dots, and root into their experience. Participants say it's like years of therapy in one session, and a natural high for both the body and mind!
We will have a vibrant dinner following the breathwork (with gluten-free and vegetarian options). We will do Havdalah rituals and blessings prior to our meal. Ingredients are not specifically marked Kosher, but we do not use treif in our home.
