Friends,
Thank you for all the support and energy in each of our past lodges. Your presence is appreciated, and we look forward to gathering again this Sunday. Please find below the details and guidance for the day.
There is an incredible spiritual cross pollination going on at this time. We are so blessed and I enjoy weaving this all together in what I am calling Quantum Dharma, I will break it down before the lodge.
Arrival & Preparations:
9:00 AM - Please arrive to help with firewood and lodge covering.
10:00 AM - We’ll convene in the Kiva to discuss “The Medicine Wheel Within You,” a theme to connect us with the teachings of balance, reflection, and renewal within.
I’ll lead the ceremony, with support from our local sangha—Kris, Amara, Alyssa, and others.
Contribution:
Suggested Contribution: $30 minimum. For late arrivals, we encourage an additional contribution to honor the preparation.
Additional Donations: Contributions for Kiva teachings are appreciated and can be left in the Kiva donation box.
Sweat Lodge Ceremony:
Entering: We’ll begin around 11:30 AM. The lodge itself offers a space for purification, prayer, and connection with spirit, guided by ancient practices that have fostered healing, spiritual clarity, and unity for generations.
Historical Benefits of the Sweat Lodge: Sweat lodges have been integral to Indigenous cultures for centuries, symbolizing purification and rebirth. Historically, they promote physical detoxification, emotional release, and mental clarity, fostering a deepened connection to spirit and community. These experiences encourage personal insights and a renewed sense of purpose.
Protocols:
Health & Safety: In light of COVID, please exercise caution in the days leading up to the lodge.
Attire: Modest and non-revealing clothing is appropriate. Men should wear a baggy swimsuit or shorts; women, a long cotton dress or T-shirt and shorts. Please bring a towel.
Ceremony Guidelines: The protocols will be explained before the lodge. If the heat is too intense, you may leave the lodge without breaking the ceremony; you are welcome to pray and meditate by the fire or in the Kiva. You may return to the lodge if needed.
Potluck:
Bring a dish to share afterward (meat is OK). Sharing a meal together fosters community and gratitude as we close the ceremony.
Additional Guidance:
Please RSVP to [email protected] to confirm your attendance.
In spirit, Jeffrey Many Hats
