Joe Huisman - Host

Joe Huisman, founder and creator of Second Chance Comedy, is living proof that you can turn your life around—and make people laugh while doing it. A customer support executive by day, Joe started doing standup comedy in 2023. Years ago, Joe battled a crack addiction, and now he uses those past struggles as comedic fuel, transforming tough experiences into hilarious anecdotes. His comedy not only brings laughter but also gives back to the community, with a portion of proceeds supporting Sobriety House.

Jake L

A self-described “short, thick king,” Jake’s friends say he is “objectively stupid”, his husband thinks he is “cute,” and his parents call him “the gay one”.

Equipped with fun outfits and Kansas-bred queer trauma, Jake weaves playful, high-energy tales that blend his love for unconventional themes with pop culture and growing up in a small town.

Deandre Simmons

Ryan Bonnell

Ryan Bonnell is a Colorado comedian, who’s style of brash, wild, and heartfelt comedy will make you feel like you made a new friend by the end. He has performed all over the country, although he isn’t welcomed back in Wyoming. He runs shows all across Colorado, including being a producer on The Front Range Funny Festival and has performed on the Greeley and Boulder Comedy Festivals.

Joe Barnholt

Joe Barnholt is a Denver based comedian who performs a mix of traditional stand up and musical comedy. He brings a unique sound and style to any comedy show with his guitar, his positivity, and his signature Buddy Holly Signature glasses. In addition to being on multiple shows at Comedy Works in Denver, including one that featured comedian Josh Blue, Joe has performed in 16 different states and at comedy clubs throughout the country.
