These school holidays, treat the tamariki to a gorgeous puppet show developed here at Zealandia by String Bean Puppets. Experience the magic of puppetry and te taiao in this empowering and delightful show for young audiences.A bat who is afraid of the dark encounters a glow worm who thinks she is a star. Themes of courage, friendship, and conservation are interwoven with a heartwarming story that introduces audiences to the unique and endangered short-tailed bat.
This show will be held at 11am and again at 1pm in the Pāteke Room on Level 2 of the Visitor Centre, suitable for all ages.
This puppet show is FREE for all ages. When entering the sanctuary general admission fees apply, free entry for Zealandia members. Overflow parking is available at Birdwood carpark during the busy school holiday period.
